    Following a pro-Palestinian protest in Toronto that was decried as supporting terrorism (Hamas was not even mentioned during the protest), the Conservative party here has announced that they want to make flying the Palestinian flag a criminal charge pertaining to the incitement of terrorism.

    This is not combatting terrorism. This is the racism; the same kind of racism that was seen following the 9/11 attacks in the US. These are people who aim to conflate extremism with the Palestinian (and often larger Arab and/or Muslim) peoples, providing an excuse for exterminating them.

    Words can not begin to describe my anger and disgust.

    I once saw someone describe the US as something along the lines of "50 third world countries tied together with a military budget big enough to fight God" and I haven't ever heard a more apt description of it

    I feel like people have pride in the country because they either are happily complicit in the atrocities, or simply just don't know about it because of how much effort the government puts into making sure that people don't find out about what they do
