I don’t share much of anything with my coworkers. They are my coworkers, not my friends. If I hung out with them etc. after work hours, it might be different, but since we don’t I don’t voluntarily share anything about my personal life outside of work.

So am I being the jerk? Or are the others/coworkers for expecting me to keep them abreast of my personal life?

Here is a question for the group… how much of your personal life do you share w/the people you work with?

A co-worker just took off the last two weeks as his wife was having their first baby. I had heard thru the grapevine and was in Mexico a couple of weeks ago with some of the people he works closest with. They told me they only learned a week before that he was going to be taking off for the birth and were put out that he hadn’t shared with them that he and his wife were expecting.

Explain to me the difference between “a pause” and a ceasefire.

@PNS @ned yeah we have to do that. If you want easement to the road, you have to apply to the village board and they will either allow it, deny it, or tell you yes, but not in the location you want.

Personally, I would hate being filmed/posted online, even if I were not doing anything wrong. It’s sort of the whole control of my image/likeness thing. I don’t want to show up anywhere that I don’t personally post myself.

@PNS @ned but here is another question, and again I am not a lawyer and have no knowledge of what the law here says.

How far out from the shoreline does the property line extend? If I have a shoreline property, can I build a 300’ dock extending out into the waterway? Is there a limit on the length/size of the dock, sort of like HOA rules? And if that is the case, should it be common knowledge? Is the owner required to post it?

But I still would not have moved.

As for privacy concerns, I learned this from Judge Wapner, you could anchor there and just watch that chick all you want. It’s like, if you prance around naked in front of your windows, if you don’t close the curtains and someone wants to park in the road in front of the house with binoculars they have that right and are not violating your privacy.

@PNS @ned I agree. It seems like he has an argument. While I don’t know the law, do you actually “own” the water under your dock?

To really piss her off they should have just moved 10 feet so they weren’t physically under the dock and then continued casting lines under it.
