i had temporomandibular joint clicking (so intense and strong, it felt like a super strong finger snap but in my jaw's side, achingly painful if done several times in a row) for a year out of nowhere after my first covid a long time ago, intensifying over time, only one side, couldnt open my jaw to like 60% of its opening capacity without a loud snap going beyond 60%

i took antibiotics for unrelated reasons
and for SOME REASON
it went away completely
actual mystery to me
