- Embed this noticeBasically yes. The only reason oil heaters use less power is from the fact they retain heat and radiate it after turning off. Leading to less and/or shorter power cycles and more even heat.
I can tell a huge difference between a room with a radiator heater vs a ceramic. I also see a big difference on my electric bill, the radiator costs less to operate.
Don't have much issues with it personally as propane is my main heat source but the radiators let the kids and us tailor our rooms to our liking and help heat where the propane heat can't get to as easy.
