@SuperLutheran I really like point 1 of this. A few years back some friends and I noticed the connections between a lot of people in our area and talked about what it would take to get the same thing for ourselves.

We started looking at it more seriously, and it doesn't take much besides being known and being a decent person in your area. I think about Springfield, OH and their Haitian issue. Couldn't that have been blocked if there were enough people who had the weight to say "yeah nah, not happening here" in their city council?
