Dr. Glosser, thank you for this essay, which every American should read, a lovely tribute to the greatness of America. Not the noxious, hateful, dishonest "greatness" of fools, but the greatness of a people strong and upright enough to be kind and welcoming.
You exemplify the great contributions that Jewish people have made to the USA. As to Stephen, every family will have a relative who disgraces himself. But we aren't defined by what our relatives may have done.
