Europa Clipper will be in orbit around Jupiter (not Europa) to avoid frying its electronics in the harsh radiation belts of Jupiter.
The elliptical ~14.2 day period orbit will enable close passes of Europa lasting a day or two every 2-3 weeks, at altitudes ranging from 25 km to 2,700 km. During the days between close passes, the spacecraft will be outside the radiation belts transmitting science data to earth.
