Has there been more to the story or we still talking about the oxidization issue with 13th/14th gen desktop processors?

I really hope their GPU initiative doesn't get killed. With all the bullshit-AI hype, they might just keep the ARC research going just for machine learning.

My cousin worked on the original i740 AGP card back in the day (before nVidia bought 3Dfx and when PowerVR made desktop cards and not just mobile phone chips) and it would be nice to see a real 3rd competitor in the GPU market.
