I got routinely shadow banned on FarceBook by algorithm back in 2012 onwards for using government statistics to contradict some of the misinformation being promoted by various news agencies. In one case I couldn't even answer a question directly asked of me by my own friend on their timeline because it involved providing advice on setting up cryptocurrency accounts for their business. Clearly this is a load of bullshit. The whole platform was kick-started by In-Q-Tel, likely as a private sector replacement for DARPA's LifeLog project.
