These are fundamentally different things, I'm intrigued by spritely because they're stripping things back to the fundamentals to experiment with models of networking and computation that could make building private, distributed systems easy; the lead developer was one of the authors of AP and she started the spritely project with the creation of next-gen social networking protocols in mind
