funnily this is also pretty much the primary reason i like the swappable bays on my framework, when i inevitably ruin the usb-c due to usb-c's garbage design i can just swap it out for another without the rest being ruined :^) (and extend the lifetime a bit because i can put usb-c on both sides when needed)
