That's true, but it's just that most ppl aren't really looking for anything in particular, they're just trying to fill a void. Some ppl just want to learn more about a certain topic or we but I think most are just trying to feel less lonely. Otherwise they'd just use a group chat with their friends. I think it's fine either way if it helps, but if someone says they want to be happy, it usually means irl.
