@monsterislandcolonizer @Jonaschuzzlewit @MisterLister race matters more than you would think in any system. you can show how different racial groups behave differently even when you correct for questions of class and wealth (this is most obvious with blacks, for example, who show higher criminality across ALL divisions of wealth, but other races show similar disparities).

democracy and/or liberalism is an attempt to square this circle through political incentives just like you mentioned but it has obviously failed. people of different races are not perfect tabula rasa individuals who are wholly molded by their environments or their governments. sure, you can incentivize people with democracy to continue to expand the franchise like you said, but at the end of the day all you're doing is creating a situation where the differences between racial identity groups maximizes. that's where we are now in america and the west more broadly.
