@thendrix @sun the states can cry about it I guess. The supreme court has ruled multiple times the government has no say in how parties choose their candidates.
Also I doubt they would keep the nominee off the ballot regardless, they will just bend over backwards and change the law, like they did in Ohio this year(The democrats set their nomination after the legal deadline in Ohio so before the law got changed Ohio wouldn't have had Biden or whomever the DNC chooses.)
