Polymer Witchto put this another way, I think one of the greatest strengths of the fediverse (and in community in general) is to empower people. I run a small single user instance and I feel empowered on this social network. I want new people with entirely different perspectives to have access to that same type of power. Even if I don't understand them. As the saying goes: "all power to all the people".
