As most of my followers are bored of hearing, post covid I now take donation calls for PBS as my days amongst people is over. It is the 25th Anniversary Edition of the film The Civil War by Ken Burns being heavily promoted for the 6 dvd set.

I had a very disturbing call last night that I really thought was a prank. It was not. An adult woman with no discernable accent wanted to know what the program she was watching was about. I thought she wanted an explanation of the gifts offered, or the #PBS membership process, but no she genuinely wanted to know what when why of the American Civil War.
I kept waiting for the other shoe where she would show her #tRump iness or start cursing or deny it ever happened. No. She was genuinely interested with no hint of irony or something amiss in the brain department.
