@smallcircles I have opinions on this, but no time to write them out fully.
But they boil down to two C's: "copyleft", and "corpus".
We *can* build a *corpus* of legally interoperable software (and culture) that would let us gradually make proprietary stuff obsolete. Because it would shut-out the closed-source world from all the code and culture we create.
I need to form this and blog about it.
