Having a rare condition like mine is isolating and alienating, as the patience people claim to have evaporates quickly; thus exposing their real and raw sentiments on a condition they don’t have to deal with themselves.
One thing is clear: I will not waste my time trying to prove anyone wrong about how debilitating this condition is for me. I have to get from day to day and the treatment plan in and of itself will be arduous on its own. There comes a point in one’s life where you simply allow people to be wrong. Not because you’re proving a point but because their actions categorically prove the apology they owe you will never be as loud as the disrespect, if an apology is offered at all.
People can be cowardly and callous. Life goes on.
