@slash i wouldn't have believed this cope but i saw an old dev stream by an ex-90's developer who talked about this exact problem :blobcatpain:

they only did a PC release but they found that they could get a new regional publisher and it came with a new pile of cash but it meant adding yet another translation to the job stack.

idk seems like there should be books on this subject.
