@ghost_bird @Sylvhem yeah, there was a really specifically strain of British radical feminism throughout the 00s that had that very Sheila Jeffries influenced anti-trans, anti-whore, anti-kink slant.
Moreover, although they referred to themselves as "radical feminists", I'd argue that they they were are something of a remove from earlier currents of British radical feminism (which I was too young and foreign for).
This particular subset seemed very engaged with things like "political lesbianism" (which they'd later set aside in masse in favour of heterosexuality, surprising no one) and the "red Tory" end of New Labour.
