I find it utterly wild that Bluesky just declared its intention to grow into the place where breaking news are happening but because it frames this as "openness" many celebrate it as benevolent.

The way "openness" is currently a projection phrase for anything progressive reminds me a lot of the "sovereignty" craze a couple of years ago.
