After the match, Hiromu had his other wrestling title (The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship) draped over his shoulder. Since the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship is defended anytime anywhere (akin to the WWE Hardcore Championship), the title itself had pinned Hiromu's shoulders to the mat with a referee present to count the pinfall. Therefore, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship defeated Hiromu and became the new holder of the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship.
