@alex From what I can tell, basically nothing implements the C2S part of the spec.

JSON-LD is a little funky, but it does solve some problems I guess, assuming servers know how to handle different contexts/schemas. I would imagine hacking in implementations of what should be new types into existing types (for compatibility) is a common phenomena where it does exist.
