Librarian socialistYesterday someone was surprised that I called myself a (libertarian) socialist in public. A bit older than me, but born in the GDR that person came with a suspicion of socialism in all forms and was surprised that there are non-state organised versions too. He asked, why there are no current valiable alternatives around by anarchists or non-state socialists. I thought about that for a moment and said: Because these got killed, murdered and traditions cut off and hanged.
