Just for edification, if someone shoots for your leg, the most standard counter is to kick your legs back and pull him in. You want to land flat of top of his head / shoulders, with your dominate arm controlling his head, usually via the chin, and you other arm controlling his elbow. What you do next really depends on what he does.
