@roadriverrail @miah Can confirm. I am that person, although now I have family responsibilities and can do that far less. And even when I do, it burns me out because it's all I have time to do and BETTER be effective at helping me unwind. (it's not).
Suffice to say, it's just not tenable to expect from people. Made me shift my perspective a few years back from thinking good practitioners contribute to FOSS, or learn things in their off-hours. Ability to do that is a measure of privilege, and desire is unrelated to a person's worth.
