I'm convinced that nothing ever gets better anymore. The last time I can recall a major site exodus as the result of asinine policy was, ironically, the Digg->Reddit shift (and maybe the 4chan/8chan schism, but idk if that counts). These days, people just shrug and plod along until it affects them personally, at which point the majority just give up thanks to learned helplessness at every level of society.

Used to be when a site was fucked up by jannies, alternatives would be up in a matter of days. Now you're lucky if you EVER get an alternative. :gura_pain:
