We introduced the ability to use #DeepL (Free/Pro) but that might be unclear if you just discovered DeepL.
DeepL allows you to use their api with a paid plan (around 7 euros a month).
It's also possible to get a free key with the dev entry.
With #Fedilab we allowed both entries (API URLs are different).
For having a key

Individual:

PS: there is no partnership with DeepL, otherwise we will have asked a key for the app.

  Yes, when switching to DeepL there should be a field to paste the key.

  In settings > Timelines click on Translator to pickup DeepL. You will see the field for the API key below it.
