     @Fullycaffeinated @mk It needs to read your account to give you a donor badge. It requests post permission because when I first made it, I imagined a “You donated! Click to share” button that would post on your behalf. I never implemented that.

     It’s self-hosted on the same server as Spinster, running code that I wrote. The reason you log in like that is because I designed it as a microservice. Authorizing it is no worse than giving your Spinster password to Spinster.

     @alex @MischievousTomato @animeirl @mk Ok, I have more questions (because I barely understand the magic that happens behind the scenes). If the Stripe thingy is broken, will it still process a payment? And didn't you say a while back that you couldn't use them any more?

     @Fullycaffeinated @MischievousTomato @animeirl @mk Stripe banned my Soapbox account but not Spinster. And yes it still works on Spinster, it just wouldn’t work if a new server set up a new Stripe account.
