   I’m feeling concerned that many of us have recently joined #Mastodon and that the long term visually impaired community are now inundated with beautiful photos with no #alttext to describe the photo. Only about 1 in 5 Toots describe photos on my timeline. We all need to curb our enthusiasm to share undescribed photos and embrace our descriptive writing. I’m not on my high horse just concerned that we’ve arrived en masse and need to do our very best to embrace #MastodonCulture.

     #Vivaldi is so much better known as #Opera Browser. Why doesn’t Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner allow you to use your most famous name?

     Ok I see. I had mistakenly thought Vivaldi was a rebranded Opera.

     @admin Vivaldi is not Opera. @jon and many others who worked there are not associated with Opera anymore. Vivaldi values privacy and customisation. I am not sure what Opera values anymore. Money?

     @admin @DavidRHel Of course. He initially started the Vivaldi community because Opera shutdown the »My Opera« community website after he left the company, which was a big letdown for all Opera users. The Vivaldi browser followed after Opera decided to kill the Presto web engine and with it all the advanced functionality the browser used to provide.
