@stefano After reading your article and sorting through things in a steel cabinet at my job in preparation for retirement, I found parts of what led me to my Unix addiction. It all started earlier, in 1984, with OS/9 (*), my first multitasking, multi-user OS with "&" magic running on an 8-bit CPU. Then I was hooked by SunOS in 1989, and in 1992 the addiction became irreversible with 386BSD0.0. The rest is 41 years of consequences. Unfortunately, floppy 3 is missing :) (*) https://subethasoftware.com/2022/09/27/exploring-1984-os-9-on-a-64k-trs-80-color-computer-part-2/
I usually publish articles about how much I love the BSDs or illumos distributions, but today I want to talk about Linux (or, better, GNU/Linux) and why, despite everything, it still holds a place in my heart.
