@radmin@limepeeps.perchinup.top I work in webdev and it's fine, but it really depends on the company.
Do not work for agencies. You'll be making the exact same WordPress/Magento website over and over again until you retire.
Work at an organization that actually does product development and you'll have fun challenges to solve.
Working with either Python, PHP or whatever you're still doing interesting stuff and dealing with advanced algorithms and data structures, but you can focus more on the big picture instead and get more (as in usefulness for the user) done in the same time.
C can be fun too but I also think C is definitely not "normal" as there are quite a lot of annoyances and pitfalls that make using C for modern applications a lot of suffering.
Also don't get into frontend webdev. Seriously avoid the javscript at all cost. Just do backend.

@SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo Ngl, I wanted to try out webdev, but not sure if I actually wanna dedicate myself towards it besides for things like my website and Fedi-dev. Been hearing that there's a lot of bullshit technologies that webdevs would have to deal with compared to C devs being normal and just using C. :drgn_think:
