Thread below, jumping in to listen to Louisville fire scanner on the UPS crash at SDF... feel free to mute, will tag it at #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
Everything East of 4513 Knopp has been cleared of people per units. They mentioned needing to evacuate residences on a street (missed street name) 11/4/25 0010 #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
The road that they want evacuated is everything on Grade Lane, (which appears is the road which runs from the airport to 1065) They are asking for a situation report on smoke. 11/4/25 0012 #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
"Jefferson County: Shelter in place update: The shelter in place has been further revised. The new shelter in place is now from Outer Loop northbound to the Ohio River. Continue to shelter in place and avoid contact with smoke from the incident near the Airport. Area's south of Outer Loop are now cleared from the shelter in place. They are instructing units to make sure any civilians they find on Grade Lane evacuates. Sounds like massive mutual aid response, there are fire units from the Air National Guard, towns and cities near by, and I heard Dow Chemical and American Synthetic fire departments also on scene now. 11/05/25 0024 #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
Partial status: No visible fire now at Kentucky Oil Recycling. Oil running North down Grade Lane. Working fire on back side of tanks(?), unclear which building they are talking about. 11/05/25 0040UTC #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
"Still have fire around tank farm on Grade Lane" just outside range of aerials Partial status: No visible fire now at Kentucky Oil Recycling. Oil running North down Grade Lane. Working fire on back side of tanks(?), unclear which building they are talking about. 11/05/25 0051UTC #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
(All the traffic recently has been about who needs water/foam/etc. Also where units are and where they are going) 11/4/25 2354UTC #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
Unable to contain flame in one area (apparently fuel on the ground?), but they have a light layer of foam separating that fire from the main body of fire. 11/5/25 0005 #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
Comments about needing units at Kentucky Petroleum, and asking if there are other units needed in other areas to protect fuel tanks. (sounds like some fuel sources in the area they are trying to protect) 11/4/25 0007 #UPS2976#SDF#planecrash#aviation
