    Facts like this always remind me of the propaganda found in my high school 'Merican history text book. Gosh, I wish I had kept it so I could prove it said this, but I recall it distinctly, at least paraphrased. The summary at the end of the colonial period chapter said:

    “Never before in human history was a large land mass like North America so sparsely populated that European settlers found fertile land mostly unoccupied. ”

    1989 … they taught me this … in high school. 🤦

      The United States is in material breach of over five hundred - yes, 500 - legally binding treaties with Indigenous nations.

      And lest you say that's because of Trump, we were in breach of at least 350 under both of the last two Democratic administrations.

      So yes, we are an illegal occupation.
