@lapin So a gaylord, a fatass, and a troon in a what used to be "kids friendly" franchise... I really feel like they're trying to kill the franchise on purpose at this point. I mean, they already ended the movies, they're about to end the anime, they turned the manga into a joke, and now the gaymes are on the chopping block.
It's sad, because I really liked the idea of an open world gayme by Gayme Freak, but if it means that the tradeoff for that is that we have to have NWO propaganda shoved down our throats, then I guess I'll find some other open world game until I get good enough at gamedev so that I can just make my own open world game. The question is, are there any right now that work on Linux natively though?
@DarkMahesvara@lapin Would be nice to have something that doesn't depend on Steam. Not only because it's spyware, but also because Valve has caught banning people and depriving them from the games they bought even.
Or perhaps, fuck it, I prefer to torrent them instead if they're not small independent games, AAA and big indie's simply can't be trusted in current year at all.
>Not only because it's spyware steam really isn't that bad (compared to other launchers/stores). there is google analytics bs you can opt-out but at least you can use it anonymously. also you should use sandboxing like Firejail of Flatpak if you care since games are often much more intrusive.
>but also because Valve has caught banning people and depriving them from the games they bought even. i have never heard about valve themselves pulling games from people. its usually the game devs. keep in mind steam drm is optional
>AAA and big indie's simply can't be trusted in current year at all sadly true
>I really wonder how you even managed to put these 2 in the same sentence... because i understand what anonymity is? as long as you personally don't send them your personal information they only have the IP
>Never heard of Firejail, sounds like putting it into a jailed environment right? it is another sandbox tool but has its down sides like being a SUID thus inferior to bubblewrap (flatpak) https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Firejail
>As for Flatpak, I'd rather stay away from this soyware. Flatpak's are alright ?
Apparently not it seems. Anonymity is no identity. IP counts as identity, even if it's a dynamic one you get from your ISP. Hell, even if it's one that keeps on changing once a week or something, as your behavior gets attached to it. Although nowadays tracking IP addresses aren't really as reliable as they used to be, considering that even normies know VPNs, or they're on 4G which gives them a random IP address thousands of people use at the same time anyway, so they're really not as trackable as they used to be.
But I think the word you're looking for is privacy, so you still give out identifiers, but they're not necessarily linked to you. But don't make a mistake, Goolag's AI's are pretty damn smart, more than we all think they are, which is the creepy part.
>IP counts as identity correct however even your "normal" IP does not directly point towards you as a person but just your network (NAT) and since we are talking obviously about people who care about privacy it can be assumed that they already use techniques such as VPNs/Proxies/Tor to obfuscate there IP which makes (commercial) tracking not only useless but also impossible.
>But I think the word you're looking for is privacy, so you still give out identifiers, but they're not necessarily linked to you. no. they know that i exist and broadly what i do just not who i am hence its about anonymity.
