@anthracite Yes but it's a cat? Humans are of limited interest to cats. (Are they a threat, are they going to give me treats, what about skritchies? Otherwise: ignore. We are visited daily by a neighborhood stray cat that we call Squeaky because of his voice, and one of our neighbors calls Cougar because of how he lopes long. Squeaky/Cougar probably knows some interesting stories, if only he could tell them.
We feed him, as do other neighbors.
