     @installgentoo Burning the iso is a disaster as they didn't add a check to know if the media who usb, optical etc... I suspect the cause of that is because they aremulti tasking checksums on a optical disc thus it is sub optimal, the installer keeps crashing, be it by DVD or USB.

     @installgentoo So far I haven't had a successful installation. It just doesn't work on real hardware.

     huh, try installing ubuntu server and then installing mate, maybe it will work. :cirno_flap:

     @installgentoo When I mean mate I mean the distro with mate itself.
     Otherwise I could just like you said install a more minimal system.
