     The only chance we had was if Biden had never run for reelection, and we had nominated a middle-aged wealthy white man with moderate pro-crypto politics.

     @lovelylovely@masto.ai He started running, then dropped out, I mean. If he had never been the presumptive nominee, we would have had a primary and maybe we would have chosen some milksop mediocre white man who still probably would have lost.
     
     America is intent on expressing its full-throated approval of Trump's sexism, racism, and homophobia. I'm not sure anyone we ran could have stood a chance.

     @notroot Biden didn't run for reelection However voters weren't going to chance Harris the second in command being looked over.
