The Harris campaign acts terrified of anything that might upset white Boomers, venture capitalists, and AIPAC, which isn't giving me good feelings about what kind of conservative, poll driven administration she might have.
Like, Tim Walz got smacked down for mentioning Electoral College abolition, which is enormously popular with everyone except Republicans. 🧐

I get the feeling the Republicans endorsing Harris think she would be both a better Republican and easier to bully than Trump.

@gwynnion I think her entire strategy is she wants to pick up people who voted for W but think Trump is too vulgar or something
which I don't think that is a group as significant as she thinks and they'll probably still just vote for Trump anyway

Her strategy is the same strategy that conservative Democrats have been activating for the past 40 years since Reagan's landslide: pull the party as far to the Right as possible while keeping bare enough fingers-length difference from the Hard Right GOP so they can scare liberals and "progressives" enough to keep them in the fold.

One of my problems with Harris in 2020 was she was so visibly triangulating her positions and folded easily even when she was right.
