      It is, though I live in a big city rather than a tourist destination. Moving out of the US was one of my best decisions so far.

      A lot of what did it is the car dependence and expense of doing anything at all away from your house in the US.

      A 40 is $2.50 and I can buy one within 100 feet of my residence. I'll pass several businesses in the process, all owned or run by friends.

      @DC5FAN @Wobbegong I don't think it's natural to not have a near relation with your family. Humans have always been close with extended family most of existence. Even Norwegians were close during viking times. This is something they learned from last 70 years from the state apparatus and institutions together with lutherism as opposed to catholic or evangelists or even ortodox religion

      @Wobbegong yes but Norwegians have trouble with their own family relations. My cousins don't even visit their mother with her grandchildren in Norway. And when I visited my cousins she would only talk to them superficially. No emotional or jokes

      @Diceyocean Its not an excuse at all. But from my observations warmer climates have warmer people. They interact and kind of cant hold on to resentments. Colder climates breeds cold blood and isolation and cabin fever. Its very much focuses on the appearance of being polite. Of course you do have warms souls too, those who get along and work together to survive.

      @Wobbegong I found out intereuropean white on white ethnic racism exists from the horror stories by my mother arriving in Norway in 80s. And she is half Norwegian and looks more Nordic than Spanish. Really vile stuff that I don't want to elaborate on. But psychological in nature and really deep soul wonding type. Luckily that generation has been replaced by nice, smiling blondes
