Over the past few decades, I recall seeing maps showing Europe and the US being barely affected by climate change, while showing India and sub-Saharan Africa as most affected. While this probably is how the average yearly temps across the planet will play out, the variability in temps and precipitation in the EU and US seems like it will increase and be ever-more sporadic, meaning that all those rich Western countries... 1/

I wonder to what degree this focus on temperature instead of climate variability was the result of corporate pressure, the same way health officials across the west are downplaying COVID? 2/
