@orbific Yeah, I think it sums up the more general approach to "infrastructure" under privatisation - that it's something to be exploited, rather than an investment in generating value. Same with education at all levels, training, travel (although oddly few toll roads). Ironically, the more dependent we are on an infrastructure component, the more attractive it is for exploitation.
But TBH the Victorians probably would have just replaced post with a better, state-run email service...
