     @mangeurdenuage Yes, background SIP calls do NOT work on iOS unless the cr...app arranges via a ridiculous API for apple's server to receive the call and then pass that to the device.

     apple degeneracy can impact you if all you run is free software, as if you for example set up a SIP system with asterisk for a business, you won't be able to just install "linphone" on the iphone's and make them ring without spending 80 hours jumping through apple's proprietary hoops.

     The real question is who cares about Apple degeneracy? Free software enjoyers would never touch iOS regardless.
