I made one donation to a political candidate one time. She ran for #Nashville’s municipal council, and she promised to hold conservatives in check on the council. So, I handed her my money. Instead, she made deals with conservatives and the business lobby to advance her aspirations. Haven’t donated to a candidate since then.

She went on to become mayor but had to resign after literally being caught in bed with #police: an affair with a security detail cop. Now she’s a Dem nominee for Congress.
