@HistoPol The counter point to this is that they refused to accommodate Harris in order to interview her too. A thin argument can be made to talk to both presidential candidates but this is all just white run media bullshit.

Why they would not do that is beyond me. It seems that, in particular, in such a hypercharged, polarized atmosphere, the audience would be a lot bigger with "both sides."

True, however, it is worse: giving fascists a platform to spread their agenda makes their lies more plausible and credible for their target groups. By repeating them, they become "mainstream" for a big part of the population.
This is working in other countries, too (e. g. Front National, France, and AfD, Germany.)
Many of the US mainstream media are owned by egocentric, sympathetic billionaires wanting further tax cuts for the super rich, only makes things worse.

IMO, we should stop quoting MAGA/"Conservative" media, unless they are the only source, and then, only in a truth sandwich.
The media houses to avoid giving reach to, like the #WallStreetJournal, or the #WashintonExaminer, or #Newsweek and virtually all "opinion contributer" pieces of #TheHill, among others, are evident.

Very few.
One of them is The Economist.--Check the analysis column in the Harvard link.
Others are the The Atlantic, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Texas Observer, and The Guardian, as well as Foreign Affairs.
There are more, but these are the first that come to mind.
Mixed bags: The Hill and Newsweek.
