      @sun Maybe Discourse, but I hate the UI. I only recommend it because it has an API which allows alternative front-ends.

      @sun @takao I'm a fan of the threading model personally but can take or leave the anonymity. https://github.com/kawa-kokosowa/bubblebbs was peripherally involved with a friends experimentation w.r.t. this format before I ended up on fedi but if I did it myself in $CURRENT_YEAR it would probably end up quite differently.

      @allison @icedquinn @sun only if you use throwaway identities. Most people lack discipline to maintain more than one so good luck with that. Full anonymity makes it easier and disassociates the post from author's ego, but it also carries its share of problems.
