1. Photograph. A black and white photo of a rowing boat with a rower, taken from above. The composition of the picture is special. The water is light gray at the bottom due to the incidence of light, deep black in the middle and light gray again at the top. In the middle is a long, narrow white rowing boat, whose long paddles create small eddies in the water next to the boat. Small waves also appear in front of the boat. The rower sits upright, his legs resting on the boat. This minimalist depiction comes together to create a photo that both irritates and inspires. The clear separation of colors, the unusual view from above and the almost complete lack of movement lend the photo a strange calm. Info: Régis Bossu is a German photographer who captured contemporary events primarily in black and white photographs. Perhaps his most famous picture, "The Kiss", shows Honecker and Brezhnev kissing on the lips in 1979.
