     @VikingWays Oh, I can tell the subtle styling cues, but CAFE has also made it much harder for them to meet standards and have a lot of differentiation.
     
     I can tell the difference between GM and Ford trucks due to styling cues in how they design their rear tail lights.

     I have a contest for people, follow a vehicle: sedan, SUV, whatever and trying to avoid looking at the 'brand' logo or name on it, pay attention to the dead eye, lack of artistic difference between them all. I can't tell a BMW SUV from a Hyundai Santa Fe. In fact I'd argue the Santa Fe is nice in a lot of ways, but just artistically speaking there is zero innovation or 'soul' in the modern vehicle.
