     BTW "Windows 11 has just become a complete capture system disguised as an OS." has been true since Windows 10, which captures your keystrokes and other system analytics and sends them to Microsoft without being able to completely opt out. People are just going apeshit because they heard the word "AI" even though that is the least relevant part of this story, they're using it for OCR and search on your own data, this isn't any different than Spotlight on the Mac released in 2005.

     @realcaseyrollins @Wolven 99% of the bitching about AI is irrelevant when it's being used to index your own data and isn't being shared on the cloud, which is apparently how Recall works.
     
     I'm not defending Recall, it should be opt-in not opt-out.

     @sun @Wolven Yeah I saw another viral #Mastodon post that was like "this is how bad #BigTech is with #AI" but didn't mention at all how this story is related to #AI lol
