One thing that's nice with retro games is that due to my taste changing over time there's always been so far tons of games I had previously overlooked that I can then discover. The PS1 is an inexhaustible source of games. Not the big popular games everyone's heard of, but more often games that were too late on their platform to get any attention, didn't get a translation until recently, or were of a genre that was out of favor at the time it came out, had the sin of its gameplay not being legible enough for journalists or kids. Last week I found out Psychic Detective, which was pretty much Night Trap if it was even harder to make sense of. Now I'm trying Psygnosis' Sentient.

  @guizzy I think that's a good plan. My wife just puts them on, so it's mostly singing and dancing stuff. I'll ping you when I see something good!

  @lain My only exposure to movies from that era is Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon.
  
  And I guess the OG Godzilla.
  
  Any suggestions? Should I just watch everything Audrey Hepburn has been in?

    The Thin Man (film)
    
    The Thin Man is a 1934 American pre-Code comedy-mystery film directed by W. S. Van Dyke and based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Dashiell Hammett. The film stars William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, a leisure-class couple who enjoy copious drinking and flirtatious banter. Nick is a retired private detective who left his very successful career when he married Nora, a wealthy heiress accustomed to high society. Their wire-haired fox terrier Asta was played by canine actor Skippy. In 1997, the film was added to the United States National Film Registry having been deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". The film's screenplay was written by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, a married couple. In 1934, the film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. The eponymous "Thin Man" is not Nick Charles, but the man Charles is initially hired to find – Clyde Wynant (part way through the film, Charles describes Wynant as a "thin man with white hair"). The "Thin Man" moniker was thought by many viewers to refer to Nick Charles and, after a time, it was used in the titles of sequels...
